What is the Fourth Street Preserve?

Purchased through a successful grassroots campaign, the preserve is now owned and managed by the City of Lewes and permanently protected by a conservation easement. This special place will remain safeguarded for generations to come, honoring both its natural heritage and its importance to the community.

About the Restoration Fund

Now that the land has been purchased and permanently protected, the Fourth Street Preserve Restoration Fund has been established to support the next phase—restoring native habitats, building trails, and ensuring the long-term health of the forest.
