About the Restoration Fund
Now that the land is being purchased and permanently protected, the Fourth Street Preserve Restoration Fund has been established to support the next phase—restoring native habitats, building trails, and ensuring the long-term health of the forest.
Site Plan & Restoration
The restoration plan brings the forest to life—removing invasive plants that crowd out local ecosystems and reintroducing native species. New trails, native trees, and habitat improvements will make the Preserve healthier, resilient, and accessible for the community.
Ecology & Wildlife
Home to diverse native species, the Preserve supports birds, mammals, and plants unique to coastal Delaware. Ongoing ecological studies guide restoration and long-term care.
